I often laugh at the people who go years without writing a Christmas letter and then, once something significant happens in their lives, decide it's time to reintroduce their updates. But I can laugh no longer (at least not without being a hypocrite).
Back in October, a few weeks after my post about our being together for five years and the privatization of our blog, we found out that we'd be welcoming a little blessing in the summer of 2012. I found out the day before my 30th birthday, and I must say, it was the best turning-30 present I could have ever received.
Baby G, as he or she is known by family and friends and as he or she will be known on this little blog, has spent the days growing and now kicking Mommy and turning somersaults for fun. We're slowly but surely preparing for Baby G's arrival and looking forward to the day when we can hold our firstborn in our arms, all the while being aware that these last few months of just the two of us are precious and to be cherished.
In closing, here's a recent picture of me taken (I think) around 20 weeks (that thing they call pregnancy brain really does exist).
